Natural Maple
Natural maple is varnished, but not stained. The natural color of maple comes through.
Maple is generally straight, but sometimes curly grained hardwood with a relatively coarse texture. It is usually very white with almost no grain at all, and it is a very durable, very dense hardwood. It does not take on stain or coloration well. With age, it will take on slight amber and cream tones. This change is minor. Its species name is Acer Saccharumm. Its Janka rating (hardness and resistance to scrapes, gouges and cuts) is 1450.
